The fourth cake
Starting Roughly's mobile build, he spots the AI's default com.example package identifier and freezes: last time, that exact genericness cost him a Play Store rejection and a cascade of Firebase changes. The save proves prior pain works when it fires, which raises the harder question: why doesn't it always? Exhibit A is Julia's fourth cake, stuck to the pan again because nobody wrote down what made the good one work. His imperfect answer is the diary itself: I remember things because I say them here.

Roughly goes straight to a mobile build, no more validation detours, because he already sees its future ▸ 40:22. And early in the scaffold he catches it: the AI left the Play Store package identifier as com.example ▸ 40:48. The recall is instant ▸ 40:54: Severo shipped with that same generic name, the Play Store refused it as too generic ▸ 41:49, and the rename cascaded, one change forcing another forcing a Firebase change ▸ 42:17. This time he stops, names it properly, and redoes the little that existed while it’s still cheap ▸ 42:36.
la cicatriz solo sirve si dispara a tiempo →
The save exposes the system’s weakness: it worked because the memory happened to fire. He admits he doesn’t know what methodology would keep learnings present at the moment they’re needed ▸ 43:03, and he distrusts note-taking, preferring to keep things in his head ▸ 43:12. Exhibit A against the head: Julia’s cake, the fourth attempt, stuck to the pan again ▸ 43:27. One or two of four came out well ▸ 43:41, and the diagnosis is the same one the hundred yogurts got: “¿cómo es que no tenemos un aprendizaje de qué hicimos bien?… volvemos a caer en el mismo error” ▸ 43:53. The butter theory existed; nobody consulted it ▸ 44:07. Some fixes do graduate into defaults, like the improvised stove-grate rack that ended the era of food welded to the pan bottom ▸ 44:30, but graduation is exactly the step the cakes keep failing.
His honest partial answer is the medium you’re reading: speak the day’s reflections out loud, write them somewhere ▸ 45:44, “yo me acuerdo de muchas cosas porque yo las voy diciendo acá” ▸ 45:50. The diary was meant as marketing; it turns out to be the company’s only working long-term memory…
