The real-world versions, from this week

Why it’s regressive

Here’s the part that makes it a teaching and not a complaint: the time tax is regressive. The rich buy it back, premium tiers, ad-free plans, housing near the office, and their hours keep compounding into skills and capital. Whoever can’t pay studies through the ads and commutes through the years, falling behind at the exact speed the friction grows.
